Well everyone else if giving a mini review with their views on it. I for one was never a big fan of Obama or McCain. I think what is driving me to vote this year happens to be the VP choice.
Palin scares me, I will get that out there before I make my little view on it.
Now anyways, on to the debates!
We all expect the VP canidates to be prepped and ready for whatever question comes at them and usually they are pretty good at it. Biden on a few topics did his best to barely comment on the question and spin things his way which is expected. Palin ignored most of the questions, and while she gave interesting answers to questions not posed it was obvious she didn't know how to answer varying questions.
Biden, without outright saying it, compared Palin to Cheney also after saying Cheney was a threat to this nation in no small amount of detail. Ripping on of Palin's only on topic answers apart. If you missed it, see the question about what they as potential VP's would do to assist their running mate in their presidency.
Palin made the sad mistake of trying to win over people by saying she most relates to the average family with her troubled and loving family. Biden's response kinda killed that right off. By the way Biden almost killed my bet that Palin would cry by almost crying himself.
On the note of relating to people. Biden says he was once living on hardships, but as of right now he has money, a large home and a decent financial security. Palin kept calling herself middle class.... yeah and I piss LSD.
Overall I thought Biden did better, Palin gets a decent grade for most improvement, but still Biden came in there ready. He knows alot about foreign policy and it showed in their talks about it. Also something to note when they disagreed.
Palin: That's untrue... now let me talk about something unrelated.
Biden: That's wrong, here's why, let me point out again here is why. Now on to the important things.
As a final note, what killed me, was talking with a woman I really don't like much who may end up being my aunt, yay me.. If only because she is anoying. I wasn't talking politics with her, she just butted in to begin with. She took offense to my displeasure with Palin. When I mentioned how little she knows about things like foreign policy, this woman replied, "Well do you think you know about foreign policy?" As if to say how could I expect her to. This stunned me on many levels. My response was, "I am not expected to know the answers to these questions!" Yes I should know more about it but still Palin's job might end up being having to know this. I tried to make it make sense to her as she just scoffed. "Look, if you go to a car mechanic and say 'my breaks aren't working right, my car wont stop.' and he replies 'well I am not sure whats wrong but your muffler makes too much noise which isn't good.' wouldn't you be worried?" She just didn't want to hear it, which is good it means that I don't have to deal with her being dumb. Also when I mentioned 1 million in assets means your not middle class she spurted a bunch of things, most not true, that tried to prove Palin was infact middle class by todays standards. It was like saying 12 = 3. It doesn't work.
Anywho I don't expect people to agree with me, but I expect people to see common sense. Palin needs to brush up on what it is to be a nation leader if we want to feel comfortable voting for her and McCain in the chance McCain kicks it. God forbid McCain kicks it but still!
